PYES PĀ SCHOOL

Stand Tall, Strive Together, Success for the Future

Whakakotahitia tātou hei wawata mō ngā tauira me te hapori.
Tū teitei, mahi tahi, hei tutuki pai āianei mō āke tonu atu.
Pyes Pā School is a rural school with nine classes, situated 17 kilometres from the centre of Tauranga. Our school is attractive, with beautiful, expansive views of farmland, sea, and Mount Maunganui in the distance.  It has spacious, well-sheltered grounds, ample hard surface areas, and a lovely section of native bush. We are well resourced with impressive facilities that provide a comfortable, modern and attractive working environment for all.

The majority of our children come from the surrounding Pyes Pā area. This area is well known for its diverse land use and occupations including orcharding, floriculture, dairying, sheep farming, packhouses and lifestyle blocks.  A small number of children also travel daily from Tauranga. Pyes Pā School is one of the traditional contributing schools for Tauranga Boys’ and Girls’ Colleges, both very popular secondary schools in the city.

The school is well known for its strong parent and community support and we are proud to offer many academic, cultural and sporting activities.
