Pyes Pā Board
The Board of Trustees’ role is to “govern” the school. Our main job is to set the strategic or “big picture” direction and plans for our school, as laid out in the Charter. We also set up and operate a policy framework to help best achieve our goals for student learning and achievement.
We do this after consulting with the Pyes Pā School community, including students, parents/caregivers, staff, and other interested people. It is our job to make sure that we help create the best possible environment for our students to achieve their potential. We are responsible for the school finances, staff, property, health and safety, and policies and procedures.
We delegate the responsibility of running the school on a day to day basis to our Principal. It is his role to manage the school to achieve its goals, according to Board policy.
